Huntsmen poaching

This article in Czech version focuses on the problem of Poaching among the Huntsmen in Czech Republic – it describes the case from the end of 2009 when 2 Huntsmen were accused from hunting down many protected mammal and bird species for purposes of taxidermy and illegal sale. Among the shot and stuffed species there were many Woodpeckers, raptors, passerines and owls including one Barn Owl with the ring! It appears that this is great problem in Czech Republic, especially because the hunting has powerful lobby between Czech politics as well as Police and in recent years 18 similar cases all over Czech Republic has been revoked with nobody being brought to the court and accused! It is indeed very sad to see that the little that still survives in our nature gets hunted for such a scurvy reasons.

Is it still alive or is it a specimen in somebodys display? Eurasian Kestrel, August 2008:

This is of course much broader problem and it does not only happen in Czech or Europe – I recall similar case from USA – during my recent visit of city of Marco Island in Florida I found an article about 7 young people – graduated officers of NAVY academy – who shot several tens of protected birds in bird rookery just for fun! Imagine yourself returning from a long day in work into your living room but there is a group of assholes hiding with the guns behind the wall and waiting to kill you just for fun…

Well my Czech version of this article is also about how the people often use animal names to call themselves in pejorative way and I think it is not fair and it is also insult of those poor animals who are not responsible for what we people are like!

Live in peace, here are some of those articles about bird rookery shooting in Collier County in Florida:

Seven arrested for shooting and killing protected birds

Men accused of killing wading birds were Navy officers in training

Whatever happened to? Seven accused of shooting birds not out of woods yet

Proto odteď pouze mislivec s I ne Y. Zakázal bych vlastnění či nošení
zbraní krom sledovaných výjimek pro předem nahlášené odlovy v oprávněných
případech (vidlák, divočáci, nemocná infekční zvířata apod). Myslím, že bychom
mohli zít velkou podporu veřejnosti.

Ahoj Honzo,
Tezko hazet vsechny do jednoho pytle, idioti se totiz najdou vsude. Trochu
desive ovsem je, jake lobby ma myslivecka jednota obecne v nejvyssich kruzich v
CR.
...
vidinou zisku a sebeobohacovani.
